Crescent College of Education was established in the year 2005 by AL-Ameen Educational Trust. This Institute is approved by National Council for Teacher Education, Southern Regional Committee, Bangalore vide its order No. 4080 dated 13.11.2005 for an intake of 100 B.Ed., students. Subsequently, the intake of the institution was increased to 200 with the approval of NCTE, SRC, Bangalore vide its order No. 5090 dated 22.09.2008 and for an intake of 25 students of the M.Ed., course with approval of NCTE, SRC Bangalore vide its order No.13895 dated 31.10.2007 now therefore subsequently enhancement of intake of 10 seats from 25 to 35 was permitted by NCTE, SRC Bangalore vide its order No.20726 dated 25.08.2010.

The College is affiliated to TamilNadu Teachers Education University(29.07.2008) Thiruvalluvar University vide its order No. 28 dated 03.03.2006.

The institution is following curriculum and syllabus prescribed by the TamilNadu Teachers Education University, the faculty member are instrumental in sending comments and views on the curriculum and successfully implementing them as per directive of the university.

The college functions in an area of (33619 sq.mts.) semi-urban. We at this Institution, envision the holistic development of our students into vibrant professionals, conscious of human values and eco-friendly environment and competent in skills. They will be the torch-bearers in their respective fields of study, quite capable of serving the community in a befitting manner. Towards achieving this goal the College has a building with all amenities to accommodate class rooms, laboratories, library, seminar hall, offices, recreation halls, sports room, placement cell, canteen etc.
